On Saturday, August 22nd, 2009 FC Ukraine United-Svoboda participated in the 3rd Annual Ukrainian Independence Day Tournament with two teams. One in open division and the other one over 30. In the last two past tournaments FC Ukraine United were the winners! Eighth teams were divided in two groups: Group A Diaspora Vorkuta-1 FC Ukraine United-Svoboda FC Zenit Group B USC Karpaty Vorkuta-2 Shelton Millenium Semifinals: Diaspora - Vorkuta-1 2-1 FC Ukraine United- - USC Karpaty 4-2 Final: FC Ukraine United-Svoboda - Diaspora 2-2 (2-1pen) FC Ukraine United-1 once more, third year in the row are the winners of Ukrainian Independence Day Tournament!
