FC UKRAINE UNITED ARE THE WINNERS OF 2012 UKRAINE'S INDEPENDENCE DAY SOCCER TOURNAMENT !!!
On Saturday, August 25th, 2012 FC Ukraine United played in Annual Ukraine's Independence Day Soccer Tournament, which took a place at Soccer City, Centennial park. Once again, sixth year in the row, our club became a winner of this tournament in open division. Our team at over 30 division took 3rd place. Open division was divided in two groups: Group A: FC Ukraine United, Zenit(2:0 win), USB(3:0 win), Slavutych(3:0 win), Sumol FC(1:0 win) Group B: Vorkuta, Sloviany, Drujba, Halychyna, Diaspora Winners of the groups and runners-ups met in semi-finals. FC Ukraine United beat Vorkuta 2:1 and Halychyna beat Sumol FC 1:1, 2:0 on penalty kicks. Two best teams from the tournament met in the final. FC Ukraine United beat Halychyna 2:0 and celebrated their sixth straight win in the row in six years, since this tournament been established. Over 30 division: Group: FC Ukraine United, Sich(3:0), Ukraina(1:1), Neretva(1:1), Slavutych(1:2). The most points had Neretva (Croatian team) who won this tournament, second place Slavutych, third place FC Ukraine United, fourth place Sich and fifth place Ukraina.
