The visitors were able to open up the scoring early in the first half at the Weston Lions Arena. Just before that home team missed two great chances by Vladimir Koval and Geri Kraja. Sporting extended their lead in the 30th minute. 2-0 after first half.
In the second half Ukraine scored one goal back at 80th minute by Andi Kararaj. Ukraine pressed for equalizer and came close when Sasha Kaplun hit the crossbar. Sporting picked up their third goal in the dying seconds of the match on a counterattack to make 3-1 final score.
After this win Sporting clinched the title of Ontario Soccer League in the Central Premier Division. Ukraine United finished third.
