FC UKRAINE UNITED AND BURLINGTON SC SCRAP TO SCORLESS DRAW AT RAINY CENTENNIAL STADIUM


FC Ukraine United played to a scoreless draw in their second matchup in the season against Burlington SC. In the first game Ukrainians were celebrating

5-2 away victory.

A delicately poised first half saw both sides threaten to open the scoring amidst wet conditions.

The hosts caused the first scare in the 26th minute when Taras Hromiak was brought down in the box for a penalty. He stepped to the spot and missed the net by few inches. At the other end Burlington missed two good chances on breakaways.

In the second half was the same scenario, both teams had good opportunities to score but neither side could get on the scoreboard in the 0-0 draw.

FC Ukraine United returns to action next Saturday, July 29, to face the Brantford Galaxy. Kick off 4pm at Serbian Community Centre in Brantford.
