FC Ukraine United came back from a 2-0 deficit to defeat CSC Mississauga 4-2 in the Canadian Soccer League First Division Friday night.
Forward Remi Oshin opened the scoring for CSC Mississauga at 29 minutes in the match against Ukraine United at the Iceland Field and Akeem Priestley made it 2-0 three minutes later.
Nazar Milishchuck found the net for Ukraine United to reduce the lead to 2-1 at 34 minutes and Ukraine United’s Roman Datsiuk struck the first of two goals at 45 minutes to even up 2-2, the score at halftime.
Pavlo Lukianets put Ukraine United into a 3-2 lead at the 47 minute mark, tapping the ball into the net from a rebound off the crossbar. A send-off followed when CSC Mississauga’s player was shown the red card after retaliating from an untidy tackle and Datsiuk then secured the victory with his second goal at 74 minutes, a 4-2 result at the final whistle.
FC Ukraine United improve to a 5-2-1WLT record for 16 points and second in the standings, while CSC Mississauga are at 0-5-2 for two points in eighth position in the table.
