FK Ukraine United jumped on top of the First Division with 7-1 trouncing of Bradford Galaxy in the Canadian Soccer League Saturday night.
Roman Datsiuk struck twice for FC Ukraine United in a match which ended the first half in total collapse by Brantford Galaxy, a team down 5-1 at the break.
Goals were also scored by Vitaliy Bohdanov, Nazar Milishchuk, Pavlo Lukianets, Taras Hromiak and Yevhen Falkovskyi, while Galaxy’s lone goal came from the penalty spot, scored by Slavko Knezevic. It was 7-1 at the final whistle.
Milishchuk and Lukianets lead the Ukraine United scoring, each with 6 goals on the season.
FC Ukraine United, a team that won the CSL Second Division title in 2017, moved into the First Division top spot as a result of Saturday’s victory. With a 6-2-1 record for 19 points, Ukraine United has a superior goal differential 30-8.
Next game Ukrainians will play in Toronto at Easter Shiner Stadium on Saturday July 21 against Waterloo SC. Kick-off 2pm.
