FC Ukraine United were held to a 1-1 draw at home by SC Waterloo in the CSL First Division Saturday afternoon at Esther Shiner Stadium.
It was scoreless and even contest through the first half with more chances for Waterloo.
Ukraine United opened the scoring in the second half, goal scored by substitute Taras Hromiak at 51 minute mark. Two minutes later Dzenan Karic equalized for Waterloo from a free kick. A highly competitive second half saw United pressure Waterloo all over the field, but
it wasn't their day. Ukraine United retains second position in the standings with a 6-2-2 record for 20 points, while Waterloo is in eighth position with a 1-4-1 record for 4 points.
Next game Ukrainians will play in Mississauga at Hershey Centre Stadium on Friday August 3 against Real Mississauga SC. Kick-off 8:30pm.
