TWO GOALS BY FALKOVSKY PUTS UKRAINE UNITED THREE POINTS CLEAR AT THE TOP OF THE LEAGUE
FC Ukraine United jumped three points clear at the top of the First Division with a 3-1 victory over Hamilton City.
Ukraine United opened the scoring at the 9th minute mark in a well played, physical encounter with Hamilton City at Centennial Stadium, the goal coming directly from an in-swinging corner kick by forward Taras Hromiak and it was
1-0 at the break.
Ukraine United pressed in the second half resulting in two goals by forward Yevhen Falkovskyi, the first a header off a cross by Roman Datsiuk at 69 minutes, followed by a breakaway at 80 minutes to give Ukraine United a 3-0 lead. The goals were 6 and 7 on the season for the Ukraine United forward. Filip Seculik struck for Hamilton City at 85 minutes and the 3-1 score for the home side held to the final whistle.
Ukraine United go three points clear to lead the First Division with an 11-2-2 WLT record for 35 points, while Hamilton City are in sixth position with a 5-6-1 record for 16 points.
Next game will be the last game of the regular season, FC Ukraine United will play at home ground Centennial Stadium in Etobicoke against CSC Mississauga.
